Overthinking can ruin your entire life. Here I’ll share how to stop overthinking about your life and start living.
You Can’t Make All People Happy
If you always care about what other people think about you, no matter what you do it will never allow you to be 100% happy.
If you try to make all people happy without listening to yourself you will suffer every time and will not enjoy your life. So, first of all, you must understand you can’t make all people happy. And you have to do what you make happy.
Don’t try to make your parents, friends, or partner happy. When you do things you care about, your mind will be calm and it allows you to stop overthinking.
This is not an easy task or you will not able to do it within a few days.
When you try things you want to do and expand your comfort zone, you will be able to stop overthinking about other people’s opinions and it will help you to stay in the present moment and live your life on your terms.
People Only Cares About Themselves
You must understand this. No one cares about your clothes, style, or social status because everyone cares about themselves. If something goes wrong or you failed in front of other people, they will laugh at you.
But they will forget it within a few minutes, hours, or after a few days because people have a lot of problems in their life. So they don’t have time to think about your mistakes. So they automatically let it go.
When you understand people don’t think too much about what you do, it’ll help you to stop overthinking.
Take Actions and Face Your Fears
Most of the time overthinking is based on fear. As an example, if you see a beautiful girl at the park and you want to talk with her. But you will overthink about,
- She will reject me
- People will laugh at me
- She will blame me.
- My shirt is not so good.
- She will not talk to me.
These things come to your mind because you have fear to talk with that girl. If you want to stop overthinking, you have to face your fear. If you want this fear to go away you have to face that fear. Until you face it you’ll never get rid of that fear.
Action is the best way to beat overthinking. If you want something, you have to take action as soon as possible before overthinking comes into your mind. If fear comes to your mind, think about something else. That is the best way to avoid over-thinking.
As example,
You want to pass a group of people. If you start overthinking, you can just count 5 to 0 in your mind. Then it counts as 0 you have to do the action. That means it doesn’t matter what happens you have to pass that group of people.
My Experience with Overthinking
I always care about what people think about me and I never want to do what I want. So I have never been happier with myself. But when I understand I stuck on my mind, I try to do uncomfortable things that help me to stop overthinking.
Overthinking can kill our confidence. Most of the time it will prevent us to make our dreams come true. If you are always overthinking, you will not be in the present moment. It’s like, live in a bad dream. So try to stop overthinking for good!
You must have to understand this; it takes time to stop overthinking. It doesn’t matter what other people think about you. If you want to better version of yourself, you have to do what you want to do. Also, you will never get rid of overthinking. It will come again and again. So when you feel like overthinking, take action.
Taking action is the only way to get rid of overthinking.
